So last year for easter my mom decided to get me a book called "eat this not that", apparantly it's extremely popular although I must admit my first tiem opening it was last night. It is a book that basiclly compares all the different fast food restaurants by their health calue and calories, it also gives suggestions on the smartest choice to make at each. The best way to state my thoughts is to simply present this information to you.
Mcdonalds Big Mac- 540 calories, 29 g fat
BK Whopper w/cheese-760 calories 47 g fat
Mcdonalds Filet-O-Fish- 380 calories 18 g fat, 640 mg sodium
BK BIG Fish Sandwhich- 520 calories 34 g fat , 980 mg sodium
Mcdonalds Quarter Pounder- 410 calories 19 g of fat
BK Triple Whopper- (this is not an exaggeration) 1,230 calories 82 G OF FAT!!!!
So...my point is, what the heck is up with the BK Lounge and why weren't they the center of the attention, at least comparativly to McDonalds?

All though Bk famous in it's own right, McDonald's is more famous with it's golden arches and play palaces. They also have Ronald, and they are more of an icon than other fast food joints. McDonald's has more of the spot light and if you cut off the head the rest will fall as well. McDonald's is the cult leader! And to bring down Mickey D's would be the beginning of arevolution!
Burger King also had it's own tv cartoons if you recall, and attracts children in the same ways that Mcdonalds does. The Kids Meal,big Kids Meal, and Toys.
Speaking of the toys, it has been my opinion that Burger King tends to have much more violent toy charectors opposing Mcdonalds..but we won't get into that, i'll leave that argument for my mothers rants at dinner tonight.
Many Burger Kings also have the play places, I would argue just as many as Mcdonalds.The Burger King "King" is becoming more and more popular, although maybe more with adults than children, nonetheless our health is equally as important.
I've always felt that The Burger King, aka BK Lounge, was leaps and bounds better than McDonalds, aka Mickey D's. The burgers at BK are better, the fries at BK taste better, the all around goodness/quality of Burger King is better. I used to think that BK was merely higher end.
Now, after reading your blog comparing the calories of BK meals vs. Mickey D's, it is clear that BK won me over with its extra calorie goodness. Yet, if I knew this before, I'm not sure if I would still think BK is the King of fast food. Instead, I would think that they are all bad.
I agree, however, BK tastes much better. But after I found that out it kind of grossed me out.
In Supersize Me, Spurlock notes that two girls sued McDonalds, accusing McDonalds that it was the reason they were heavily Obeist. Spurlock briefly discusses this topic and gives viewpoints of whether such a lawsuit is fair.
The burgers at Burger King are packed with calories, yet they are so good. The other weekend, I went to Burger King with my friend, Phil Streeter, and I watched him eat a Triple Whopper. Wow! The most calories of any of their burgers. I told my friend Phil about this outrageous figure, and he told me that he knew.
I also love Burger King. Even after knowing how many calories are in each burger, I still make a conscious decision to eat there.
However, if I was obeist and out of shape I would eat somewhere else.
Ultimately, I do not think that McDonalds should have been sued by those two Obeist girls. The girls fat was their fault. If these two girls can't even control their food intake or where they eat, then their parents should take action and not let them eat out. If anything, the parents of these two fat girls should be investigated for abusive behavior, not McDonalds.
